 Our Repertoire

Quigsy & the Bird specialize in acoustic Irish folk music, covering many of the classic Irish folk songs in the styles of The Clancy Brothers, Tommy Makem, Planxty, De Dannan, Great Big Sea and others. We play guitars, banjo & bodhran, and we throw in a few sea chanties for good measure. There's nothing like a rousing rendition of "All For Me Grog", bodhrans thumping and voices lifted in praise of John Barleycorn. Throw in a few harmonies, a little bit of fun, and you've got Quigsy & the Bird. ---Remember, a night with the crew wouldn't do her any harm.

 

 

 An Irishman who had a little to much to drink is driving home one night with his car weaving violently all over the road. A cop pulls him over.
”So,” says the cop to the driver, ”where have you been?”
”Why, I’ve been to the pub of course” slurs the drunk.
”Well,” says the cop, ”it looks like you’ve had quite a few to drink this evening”.
”I did all right,” the drunk says with a smile.
”Did you know,” says the cop, standing straight and folding his arms across his chest, ”that a few intersections back, your wife fell out of your car?”
”Oh, thank heavens,” sighs the drunk. ”For a minute there, I thought I’d gone deaf.”
